MMK, NLMK appraise the effect of ferrous duty
Russian vertically integrated steelmaker Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel's (MMK) economics director Andrey Eremin said the company may lose around $150 million as a result of implementation of ferrous export duties from 1 August (see Kallanish passim).
"Considering various forecasts, the extra costs could be about $150m for our export volumes," Eremin said during the telephone conference dedicated to its financial results publication.
