Lower sales, prices dampen MMK’s third-quarter earnings
Russian steelmaker MMK sees slower global market activity pressuring sales in the fourth quarter. However, sales in the domestic market should improve.
The increase in output at MMK’s Turkish Metalurji unit will support sales levels, along with the expected release in Q4 of the accumulated 200,000 tonnes of commercial material in stock, says general director Pavel Shilyaev. Financials in Q3 were very good results despite negative trends, he adds.
