MPI predicts steady steel demand in 2018
The China Metallurgical Industry Planning and Research Institute (MPI) has predicted that national steel demand will increase slightly by 0.7% in 2018. Iron ore demand meanwhile could drop, due to steadier domestic economic growth and increased usage of scrap.
