Li Xinchuang backs Chinese fourth quarter steel supply
On 8 August China Metallurgical Industry Planning & Research Institute director Li Xinchuang told CCTV's Financial Channel that even under strict production restrictions, steel supply can still meet domestic market demand later in 2017. Li also said current steel industry profit margins are still too low, even after surging prices and larger profits have been reported since the start of this year, Kallanish notes.
