MPI highlights new emissions' standards for Chinese steelmakers

China’s Metallurgical Industry Planning and Research Institute (MPI) has published a detailed analysis of newly-launched emission standards (see Kallanish 24 January). These will be effective across 28 major Chinese industrial cities from 1 March 2018 for any new facilities but exisiting facilities have until October to comply, Kallanish notes.
