Nangang manages Q3 profit
Despite being cut in half on a year-on-year basis, China’s Nanjing Iron & Steel (Nangang) still managed to make a profit for the third quarter of the year, according to its exchange filing.
In Q3, Nangang produced 2.34 million tonnes of finished steel. The sales volume was down 10% y-o-y at 2.37mt, while the average price without tax was CNY 5,017.59/tonne ($690/t), 7.7% lower than a year earlier, Kallanish observes.
