Nippon Steel appoints new chairman, president
Eiji Hashimoto has been appointed Nippon Steel Corporation chairman and chief executive officer, effective 1 April. He is currently serving as the company’s president, Kallanish notes.
As a result, the current chairman Kosei Shindo will step down. He joined Nippon Steel in 1973, and became chairman on 1 April 2019.
