Nippon Steel to upgrade blast furnace, coke oven

Japan’s Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation (Nippon Steel) plans to reline the No. 2 blast furnace at Hokkai Iron & Coke Corporation, which operates the ironmaking unit of the Muroran Works. It also plans to refurbish the No. 3 coke oven at its Nagoya Works, Kallanish notes.
