NLMK starts 220mm slab production
NLMK has started the production of 220mm thick slab, Kallanish notes.
The resulting steel rolled from the slab is used for the production of household appliances, cars, pipe and building structures. “From slabs with a thickness of 220mm, it is possible to produce coils of optimal weight and size, which make it possible to change operating modes of equipment less frequently during further processing,” the firm says.
