NLMK finalises Indian transformer steel plans
NLMK will embark on the construction of its transformer steel producing facility in India in the second half of 2020, the company tells Kallanish.
The company's strategic planning committee approved the project in December, aimed at increasing output of transformer steel amid localisation of downstream facilities in India. Core project equipment has already been purchased and the project documentation stage is nearing completion, NLMK says.
