NLMK hot-tests walking beam furnace
Russia’s NLMK is hot-testing its new walking beam reheating furnace No.2 installed for rolling mill-2000 at the hot-rolling shop of its principal Lipetsk works.
The commissioning of the furnace is penned for the end of 2019, and will increase hot rolled coil output by 2%, or 110,000 tonnes/year. It will also improve furnace productivity by 23% to 2.25 million t/y, NLMK says.
