NLMK moves towards full energy self-sufficiency
Miner and steelmaker NLMK has signed an agreement with Russia’s Lipetsk regional administration to build a new waste energy recovery plant at the site of its flagship steelworks. The new plant will raise NLMK's energy self-sufficiency to from 65% to 95% upon completion, according to its ceo Grigory Fedorishin.
