NLMK Lipetsk has completed the scheduled repair of a 330-tonne converter. The unit will now again operate at full capacity and produce more than 3 million tonnes/year of steel, Kallanish notes. The total investment amounted to more than RUB 300 million ($5m).
The repair will ensure reliable and environmentally friendly operation of the equipment for the next five years, the steelmaker claims.
