NLMK reduces dust formation at Stoilensky dam
NLMK Group's Stoilensky mining and beneficiation plant is being upgraded with a new dust suppression system, costing around RUB 150 million ($2m), the company says.
The implementation of the system, spanning a network of pipes and pumps for sprinkling water within a 100-meter radius, will enable a reduction in dusting at tailings dam of around 70%.
