NLMK USA sees 9% volume increase in Q1
NLMK’s US business unit saw sales volume tick up by 9% on year and 19% on quarter in the first quarter due to a broad-based demand increase for flat-rolled steel, Kallanish learns from the company’s earnings review.
NLMK USA saw sales increase to 601,000 tonnes in Q1, up 9% from Q1 2018 and 19% from Q4 2018.
Hot-rolled volumes increased 3% on year and 22% on quarter, while cold-rolled volumes decreased -6% on year and rose 20% on quarter.
