Northern European rod prices fall amid quiet market
Northern European wire rod prices have decreased this week amid low demand and a sluggish market, sources say. Most participants expect further falls in the coming weeks.
“Most customers are very pessimistic, because there is no real demand for this product,” a trader from the Netherlands tells Kallanish.
Prices have decreased by €20-30/tonne ($21-32) depending on the sort.
