Northern European wire rod prices remain flat
Northern European wire rod prices have remained stable this week amid low demand, sources say. Participants continue to expect some increases in the coming weeks.
“Restocking from steel [drawing] mills is very slow and the trade is at low levels,” one buyer from the Netherlands tells Kallanish.
Domestic transaction prices for drawing-quality wire rod are at €650/tonne ($703/t) ex-works and mesh-grade wire rod is at €660/t.
