Nucor adjusts plate fuel surcharge
US steel producer Nucor has moved its plate group fuel surcharge for August, Kallanish learns from a company letter.
The new fuel surcharge will be $0.35/mile and will apply to prepaid truck shipments.
It’s calculated based on US Department of Energy on-highway diesel prices in the Midwest, which are currently sitting around $3.26/gallon.
