Nucor approves funding for new rebar micro mill
Nucor’s board has approved $860 million to fund construction of new rebar micro mill in the US Pacific Northwest, Kallanish learns from a company press release.
The new micro mill will have estimated annual production of 650,000 short tons, which would be the largest of the four similar plants operated by Nucor. The facility will 50% more production capacity than a North Carolina plant that is still under construction.
