Nucor launches big plate price hike
Nucor has raised its plate prices, effective immediately, by a substantial amount, Kallanish reports.
As-rolled discrete and continuous plate now has a minimum base price of $1,320/short ton, ex-works, in widths 72-120 inches.
Quenched and tempered plate in 96-inch width is up to $1,640/st, while normalised A516-70 is $1,520/st for 96-120-inch.
On Monday, Kallanish assessed A36 at $1,170-1,200/st.
