Oman Chromite revenue falls as China demand slows
Oman Chromite posted a -9.4% on-year decline in revenue in 2015 to OMR 1.76 million ($4.57m), while net profit plunged -74% to OMR 80,334, Kallanish learns from the chrome ore miner.
The firm’s full annual results will be published next month. In 2014 Oman Chromite registered a -7.4% drop in deliveries to 24,893 tonnes, of which 54% was sold domestically. The steel industry accounted for 62% of sales, with the balance sold to the refractory industry.
