Osaka Steel belatedly set to acquire Tokyo Kohtetsu
Japan’s Osaka Steel, part of Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) plans to take control of Tokyo Kohtetsu and delist the company. Osaka Steel had previously agreed to buy the company in 2006 but the deal was blocked by Tokyo Kohtetsu shareholders, Kallanish notes.
