Outokumpu foresees third-quarter slowdown after strong first half
Outokumpu, the global stainless steel supplier, expects stainless steel deliveries to decrease up to 10% quarter-on-quarter in the third quarter due to the seasonal slowdown of the market. It nevertheless recorded strong results during the first half of the year, Kallanish notes.
The lower deliveries expected in Q3 are explained mainly by the maintenance needs of the group's mills globally, rather than by a cooldown in demand, the company explains.
