Outokumpu reports 2023 loss, first-quarter deliveries seen rising
Outokumpu conceded a net loss in 2023 but maintains it produced a “solid performance" in a weakening stainless steel market.
Revenue decreased in 2023 to €6.96 billion ($7.49 billion) from €9.49 billion the previous year, and adjusted Ebitda to €517 million from €1.26 billion. The firm sunk to a net loss of €111m from a year-earlier profit of €1.09 billion, which was positively impacted by a deferred tax asset.
