Pakistan mills hike rebar quotes on costlier feedstock
Surging scrap prices amid import financing delays have led Pakistani mills to further hike their rebar quotes. This follows the previous hike made by mills on 21 January, Kallanish notes.
Agha Steel increased quotes for 10mm and 12mm rebar to PKR 275,500/tonne ($1,097.51) ex-works, and 16mm and above rebar to PKR 273,500/t ex-works, effective 27 January. The company says it has hiked prices on the back of a continuous increase in raw material value…
