Pakistan's Agha Steel eyes iron ore exports
Pakistan’s Agha Steel has partnered with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa-based miners to secure exclusive supply of iron ore for its blast furnace.
The firm recently entered into a contract to acquire a 50-cubic-meter blast furnace for backward integration, to run alongside its existing electric arc furnace, Kallanish notes. The new BF is scheduled to be operational in the next 18 months.
