Pakistan's scrap imports rise, mills pass on cost
Pakistan’s scrap imports rose 5.1% on-month to 347,888 tonnes in October, against 331,000t a month earlier, according to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) data. However, these were down 15.4% on-year. The nation imported 1.23 million tonnes of scrap in the first four months of the current fiscal year ending 30 June 2022 (FY22).
