Primetals completes Nucor Steel Arkansas drive upgrade
Nucor’s project to upgrade the mill stand drives at its hot strip mill in Blytheville, Arkansas, has been completed.
The steelmaker has issued the final acceptance certificate to technology provider Primetals Technologies for the work which upgraded its F5 and F6 main drives. This brings the project to fully replace the mill’s six main mill stand drives to completion, Kallanish understands.
