Raw steel moves up in US
US raw steel production continued to inch up in the week ended 5 June, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.84 million short tons at 82.3% capability utilisation, up 0.2% from the previous week, when utilisation was 81.5%, and up 46.3% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 56.2%.
