Raw steel output falls in US

Production from US steel mills fell back slightly last week, according to the latest American Iron and Steel Institute data analysed by Kallanish. For the week ending 1 October, 2021, AISI reports total US mill output of 1.872 million short tons. The overall capability utilisation rate came in at 84.8% for the week, down slightly from 85.2% the week prior when output was 1.88m st.
