Raw steel production increases in US
US raw steel production rose both on-week and on-year in the week ended 5 March, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.762 million short tons with 80% capability utilisation, up 0.4% from the previous week, when utilisation was 79.7%, and up 0.1% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 77.7%.
