Rebar spot prices firm up in US

Rebar spot pricing in the US firmed up this week following a price hike imposed by several domestic mills early last week.
According to a Northeastern distributor, domestic rebar's pricing is up by $10/short ton this week as the market has begun to absorb the mills' latest price hike. Nucor, Commercial Metals Company, and Gerdau raised their rebar prices by $50/st at the beginning of last week.
