Reduced Hong Kong intake curbs Turkish rebar exports
Turkish rebar exports fell -8% on-year in November to 584,125 tonnes, but this was still their second-highest tonnage in 2018 so far, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Their average value was $505.7/tonne versus $503.1/t in November 2017.
The main destination was Singapore which took in 96,225t, down -13% on-year. Shipments to Hong Kong, however, plummeted -89% to 11,000t. Exports to Israel surged 205% to 93,939t…
