Reduced Romanian demand slashes Turkish pipe exports

Turkish welded pipe exports slumped -22% on-year in January to 98,954 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Their average value, however, was $793.6/tonne versus $779.6/t in January 2018. The most-exported product was rectangular hollow sections under HS code 730661 whose shipments fell -22% to 44,427t.
