Rio Tinto buys Sylvania iron ore rights

Australian explorer and gold developer Gateway Mining says it has entered into a binding agreement with Rio Tinto Exploration and DiscovEx Resources for an option to buy iron ore tenements near the Newman iron ore hub. The site contains very large deposits of iron ore at a low Fe content, with sporadic concentrations of higher-Fe ores, Kallanish learns.
