Rizhao Steel receives environmental approval for blast furnaces
China’s Shandong-based Rizhao Steel is set to get the environmental approval for its two new 3,000 cubic metre-blast furnaces, which belong to the first phase of Rizhao advanced base in Lanshan District, Kallanish notes.
The company plans to invest CNY 2.8 billion ($394 million) to reach 5 million tonnes/year of iron capacity. The capacity quotas are provided by Shandong Guangfu and Shandong Yuanyang (see Kallanish passim).
