Rizhao Steel unveils second phase plans
China’s Rizhao Iron & Steel is seeking approvals for the second phase of its advanced base in Lanshan District, Rizhao City, Kallanish learns.
Equipment to be added in Phase II includes three 3,000 cubic metre-blast furnaces and one 120-tonne converter, which are expected to be built between 2024 and 2026.
These new devices have a combined capacity for 7.5 million tonnes/year of iron and 1.35m t/y of crude steel.
