Russia continues to increase stainless imports
Russian imports of stainless steel increased in August compared with July, says national special steel association USSA. Intake amounted to a record 53,292 tonnes, up by 21.4% on-month and also 34.4% on-year, Kallanish notes.
In July, Russian intake was 43,880t, up by 39% on-year (see Kallanish passim). In June, imports were 41,970t, up by 45% on-year.
