Russian carmakers continue to increase production
Carmakers in Russia increased production in April, according to national statistical service Rosstat.
About 137,000 passenger cars were produced during the month, which is 4.4 times more than in the same period last year, Kallanish notes. In January-April almost 502,000 cars were assembled, up 41.9% on-year.
Production of trucks in April amounted to 17,500 units, up by 92.2% on-year and in January-April output reached 56,000 trucks, gaining 54.5% on-year.
