Russia’s car production rebounds in 2023, misses target
Carmakers in Russia decreased production in December compared with the previous month amid Western sanctions and shortages of components.
Production amounted to 55,000 vehicles, down 13.6% compared with November, but 34.2% more year-on-year, Kallanish notes from national statistical service Rosstat data.
In November, Russian carmakers produced 65,000 vehicles, up by 67.6% on-year (see Kallanish passim).
