EU/UK sanctions expected to hit Belarus
Sanctions currently being imposed by the EU and UK on Russian individuals and economic sectors are set to extend to Belarus in the coming days.
On Tuesday, the UK was the first to announce sanctions on some Belarussian individuals and companies involved in supporting Russia’s attack on Ukraine, according to official releases seen by Kallanish. They are not currently designed to impact the steel sector, but could be expanded.
