Saudi Arabia, Egypt see scrap shortage for rebar
In the beginning of the month, after Hadeed announced the net rebar price at SAR 2700 ($720/t), major Saudi mills like Al Ittefaq, Rajhi and Watania have started to quote 12-32mm diameter rebar at SAR 2,600-2,650/t on 60 days payment. On the other hand, other mills have been offering rebar at SAR 2,400-2,550/t.
