SDI acquires minority stake in flat-rolled processor
Steel Dynamics Inc is acquiring a minority interest in New Process Steel, a flat-rolled steel processor based in Houston, Texas, with six manufacturing facilities in North America.
The two companies have entered into a definitive agreement in which SDI will acquire a 45% interest in the company. The remaining 55% will be maintained by current New Process ceo Richard Fant. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed
