Section 232 drags down Turkey's January-April steel exports
Turkish steel exports decreased in January-April, hit by a drastic drop in shipments to the US resulting from Section 232, Kallanish learns from the Turkish Steel Exporters' Association (CIB).
Four-month steel exports fell -6.3% on-year to 6.4 million tonnes, but their total value increased 19.3% to $4.7 billion. Exports in April alone declined -9.5% y-o-y to 1.5mt, with a 14.9% increase in their total value to $1.1 billion.
