Severstal modernises foundry complex to substitute imports
Russian steelmaker Severstal is launching the modernisation of its foundry complex at the Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant (CherMK) to reduce reliance on imports, Kallanish notes.
The project aims to increase the production of steel castings for repair and equipment replacement purposes, reaching a target of at least 10,000 tonnes/year.
