Severstal to restart production of dynamo steel
Russian steelmaker Severstal is resuming production of dynamo steel in order to increase the utilisation of rolling capacities at its Cherepovets Steelworks (CherMK), the company tells Kallanish.
The dynamo steel unit has passed the re-preservation process and the active phase of commissioning is underway. This entails restoration of the furnace lining, cold testing of the unit and replacement of energy pipelines.
