Shagang ignites blast furnace in Zhangjiagang
China's Shagang Group has put one 2,350 cubic-metre blast furnace into operation at its steel subsidiary in Zhangjiagang city, Jiangsu province.
The blast furnace will reach 2 million tonnes/year of iron capacity, Kallanish notes. Two 480 cum BFs and two 580 cum BFs will be dismantled for the replacement project.
