Shanxi targets steelmaker energy consumption
Shanxi province has published the results of its 2017 audit into energy consumption at steel companies, according to the provincial Economy & Information Commission.
There are 25 local crude steel producers involved in the inspection. 17 of them passed the audit and 8 were warned. The most recent audit result also shows that of these five steel companies were passed after rectifying issues last year. The remaining three stopped production, Kallanish notes.
