SHFE moves against speculators as Beijing targets risk
The Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) announced after close of day trading on Friday that it would move to restrict speculation on its rebar futures contracts. The move comes after senior government meetings last week that warned the latest price increases were not based on market fundamentals and expressed concerns that a bubble could be forming, Kallanish notes.
