Shougang Qian’an finishes blast furnace maintenance
Shougang Qian'an Iron and Steel in Hebei Province finished the maintenance of its 4,000-cubic metre No.3 blast furnace in one week. The work was completed eight days ahead of schedule, as it was initially planned to last for 15 days, Kallanish notes.
According to market estimates, the refurbishment led to a reduction of around 8,000 tonnes/day of pig iron production.
